There are many different times to get a trainer. Most people get trainers when they feel bad about the way they look, but this isn't always the case. People that have been lifting/exercising for years and can't seem to get out of a exercise rut, or to check if your doing the exercises correctly (most effective way). I personally like to continually take my clients to a higher level of exercise, eventually meeting their visual goals that they had when they started.
